• weezer.com: Visit the number one band from whence my inspiration came. This site is a fantastic band web site, updates are given directly from the band's fifth member, Karl. Proof that you can make it big without losing [most] of your [un]coolness. Anyways, River's recently purchased a copy of Baldur's Gate and that's proof enough for me that they're GEEK ROCK!

  • nerfherder.net: Oh wow, these guys are great. Good, clean fun. Wait, scratch that. Make the word "clean" into the word "distorted." Yeah, that's the ticket. Actual line from a Nerf Herder song: "...and I could give up the video games." Proof enough for me that they're GEEK ROCK!

  • Assorted Web Comics: And then of course, the other half of my inspiration to launch this project. I have a great amount of respect for the art, or the writing, or both of the following links.

    • : PVP, boy, Scott Kurtz takes a lot of heat from other web comic artists theses days, but I still credit him with my favorite style and my favorite attitude about the whole thing. Who cares if he sold out? He draws these [awesome] characters for a living and that rocks.

    • : Penny Arcade, violent and abusive on the ears. Yet I still crack up at the randomness of it all. Tycho and Gabe are funny, cynical, grumpy *. It starts with "b" and rhymes with mustards. (Ok, it doesn't really rhyme.)

    • : Honestly I only read this strip in anticipation for the weeks that it runs comics about that dog and that absolutely adorable cat.

    • : Fantastic art with an intriguing story. This comic makes me say, "What the heck is going on here?"

    • : Upstate NY represent!

    • : Hah! At first I forgot to include this doozy of a webcomic! How could I? It's the one that started it all! The mighty Sluggy Freelance. Be prepared to set away a good year of your life sorting through this bad boy.

    • : This comic for me went from a casual curiosity to a full time staple. I think I'm drawn to it for its outwardly "skimpy clothing on the girls" look but with a creamy creative interior. There's more to this comic then you think.

    • : I saw many other comic artists out there alluding to embarrassing addictions to this comic. I had to try, I was just experimenting. First it was one comic, then I needed that one comic explained by another comic, and then THAT comic had a whole story I needed to read...yeah...before I knew I read the whole thing.

  • monkeygonemad.com: This is my band! No, its not GEEK ROCK! Its funky ska from NY. Check us out!
